Ken Scott en "Classic Album Sundays"

El legendario productor de "Crime of the Century" va a dar una charla sobre el álbum en el Royal Albert Hall de Londres:

Si ya me parecían muchas las 20 canciones que Abel menciona en su libro, 42 me parece una exageración !! Que se habrá hecho de todo ese material ?

Esas 20 canciones eran las candidatas a ser incluidas en el álbum. Finalmente solo se grabaron las 8 definitivas, más "Goldrush" y probablemente "Art School Credentials".

Lo de las 42 canciones, obviamente, debe ser una errata y de las gordas.

Confirmado con Ken... Esa cifra es errónea y no se corresponde con el número de canciones grabadas para el disco, sino quizás con el número de maquetas que tuvieron en cuenta.

Yes, it has been a long time since we last connected. I am doing very well, thanks, hope you too.

That is an error that I will try and get corrected. I think it is referring to demos they recorded of songs for consideration for the album.

Hope you are doing well... We haven’t been in touch lately.

Dave Margereson emailed me yesterday to ask me helping out by putting the word on your talk on “Crime of the Century” at the Royal Albert Hall, so I shared the link of “Classic Album Sundays” that contains the info about it at “The Logical Web” and all the Supertramp social media pages I am member of.

However, I have read something strange in that link. It says that “Roger Hodgson and Rick Davies recruited new bandmembers and recorded 42 songs in different studios whilst making the record”... It is wrong, isn’t it? As far as I know, you only recorded the 8 songs on the album plus “Goldrush” and perhaps “Art School Credentials”.

I’m sure that your talk will be very successful, and I hope you enjoy the experience!
