¿Habría mejorado en calidad Famous last Words si hubieras mantenido el estilo de tocar la batería del LP Crime of the Century o de temas como Fool's Overture o Another Man's Woman?

¿En la época de Famous last Words, tuvisteis dentro del grupo discusiones sobre si la batería debía limitarse a marcar el ritmo, como en los grupos pop convencionale, o si debía mantener el protagonismo que daba personalidad al grupo desde Crime of the Century pasando por parte de Crisis? What Crisis? y Even in the Quietets Moments?

¿Qué manera de tocar la batería te gusta más a ti, Como en Crime of the Century o como en Famous last Words?

¿Dónde y como adquiriste esta manera de tocar la batería de una manera tan original y personal?

¿Que probabilidad, de 0 a 100%, pones de que vuelva a tocar Roger Hodgson bajo el nombre de Supertramp en el futuro?

Can we consider you retired or are you still an active musician? If the conditions were met, would an 80-100 concert tour around the world look forward to you?

Are you still playing the drums daily (or almost) but only for the pleasure of sitting in front of the kit, feeling the drumsticks in your hand, the drums sounding... even improving technique?

The mythical Ludwig Supraphonic snare that has accompanied you for so many years is a vital part of the Supertramp sound throughout its history. Where do you keep it and how do you keep it?

Do you remember what drumkits you had on the Even, Paris, Brother and Free as a bird tours, as well as their settings and color?
Do you agree if I tell you that on the 1988 tour the toms sounded better than ever?


In some photos of Supertramp Paris a large zimbal appears on your left. What is it and what did you use it for?
Over time, you changed the setting, with fewer toms up and more floor toms. Was it due to something specific?

In Child of vision you are more than 7 minutes doing sixteenth notes with the hi hat with a very special swing. Just like Bernard Purdue created his Purdue Shuffle, do you think we could call that pattern the 'Siebenberg swing'?
In Supertramp Paris you surprised to change your style so embedded in the song for a more personal one, with many fillings making pretty drawings with the zimbals, bells... But in 1988, when Supertramp took percussionist, you avoided many of those fillings. Do you prefer playing with or without percussionist?
On the 2010 tour, is that the biggest bass drum you've taken on tour?

When Supertramp had a first hiatus in 1988, do you feel the band sounded exceptionally good in spite that there werent the best times in the band?
Would you identify any moment in your life where you have played better than ever?

The C´est le dip groove is perhaps the most complicated you've ever recorded? Its amazing!! Is there a partiture?

Entre las cosas que ya les preguntamos a John y Bon en esta ocasión y las que habéis añadido, la verdad es que no se me ocurre nada interesante que preguntar. Como mucho loas y peloteos.

Quizá añadir lo siguiente:

- Ya sabemos que eres un batería excelente, pero en tus discos en solitario, has cantado y tocado teclados. Cuéntanos cómo es tu relación con estos otros instrumentos. ¿Has aprendido a tocar algún otro o mejorado tu nivel en alguno que ya conocías?

- Relacionado con lo anterior: después de tantos años trabajando con genios como Rick o Roger, ¿qué has aprendido de ellos como compositor? ¿has tenido formación adicional en teoría musical o eres auto didacta en ese sentido? ¿Cuál es la canción de tu discografía en solitario que más orgullo te produce a nivel compositivo o de arreglos o de ejecución?

He estado pensando y tengo una que me interesa.

- You use to play mid-low tempos which is way too much difficult if you want to keep synchronization all along the song. My question is:

what is your relationship with the metronome?

Did you use to rehearse with metronome with Supertramp or in your solo career?

What about studio recordings? I know many of the 70's and 80's famous band albums are recorded live. What about Supertramp? It's there any album recorded with metronome?

And the live gigs? Did you ever play with ear monitors and metronome?
